REGIONAL EVENTS
If any member has a regional event they are planning on attending and would like to share the information with the club, please let me know so I can get the information out to the membership and on the website! Remember, regional events help everyone around our great-big state with long commutes. Plan a regional event and invite local Cougar owners to attend.
Let us know if you are attending a local event!
Local events are the best way for those who don't have the time for a big event-- or if your car might not be ready for a long road trip.

River Ranch Rod Run
usually takes place on the last weekend in January. It's put on by Rich and Linda Martin of the Sunshine State Rodding News, . There haven't been many Cougars there in recent years, but now with more people in the south region, it could pick up. Rooms are hard to come by if you wait too long, you've got to move fast as soon as the show's announced, to secure a room. It can be anything from an "arrive Friday after work and stay til Sunday" deal to a one-day Saturday only thing. It's a dude ranch, so there's horseback riding, golf, skeet shooting, a rodeo Saturday night, bonfires each night, dancing in the saloon.

Zephyrhills Winter AutoFest
February 23, 2012 - February 26, 2012
is held in Zephyrhills, and we've attended it as a club several times. The Zephyrhills Winter AutoFest is a big multi-faceted automotive event featuring all four days an impressive swap meet and car corral. Also all four days, there's exciting exhibition racing on the 1/3 mile unbanked dirt track with stock cars, sprint cars & midgets from the '30's, '40's, '50's & '60's.
